Sustain and Advance the WaterVal® Research Program

#RFF36

Overview

WaterVal®: A Trusted Framework for Water Treatment Validation

WaterVal® is a nationally endorsed, research-backed framework that empowers the water industry to validate treatment processes with confidence. It offers a consistent, scientifically robust approach to confirming that water treatment systems can effectively remove contaminants—protecting public health and the environment.

Supporting the entire treatment journey—from catchment risk assessment through to verification and reporting—WaterVal® streamlines processes and reduces uncertainty. Its protocols, built on nine essential elements and grounded in the latest research and industry best practice, are adaptable across a wide range of contaminants, source waters, and treatment technologies.

Over the past three years, WaterRA, with the support of water industry partners, has created and continued to evolve the WaterVal® research program—expanding its scope with new validation protocols and comprehensive background documentation.
