PhD Scholarships | Expressions of Interest
WaterRA scholarships are offered through industry sponsorship. Here’s how you can explore these opportunities:
Step 1: Talk to your supervisor
Discuss your interest in pursuing a WaterRA scholarship with your supervisor.
Step 2: Identify a potential sponsor
Together with your supervisor, brainstorm industry organisations that might benefit from the research outcomes of your project. Reach out to identified organisations to gauge their interest in sponsoring your scholarship package.
Step 3: Contract facilitation (if sponsorship secured)
If an organisation expresses interest, your supervisor can contact WaterRA’s Research Capability Manager, Carolyn Bellamy. Carolyn will help facilitate the contracting process between the organisation and the University.
Alternative Option: Associate Student Membership
In cases where full scholarship funding isn’t available, the organisation might still be willing to sponsor an Associate Student Membership with WaterRA. This membership offers valuable networking opportunities with students, professionals, and researchers within the WaterRA network. Additionally, it provides access to industry events and conferences, boosting your professional development. This membership can be funded by an external organisation or your University.
