Every year, our election process gives our members the opportunity to drive WaterRA’s governance. Our members’ role in ensuring suitable candidates are nominated and elected on to the WaterRA Board is an important part of WaterRA’s constitution.
This year a total of eleven (11) nominations were received for three (3) vacancies.
Utility Member Position – one (1) vacancy

University Member Position – two (2) vacancies

- Dr Andrew Groth – University of Technology Sydney, NSW
- Professor Stuart Khan – University of Sydney, NSW
- Professor Swee Liang Mak – Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), VIC
- Dr Arash Zamyadi – Monash University, VIC
- Dr Masoumeh Zargar – Edith Cowan University, WA

The election period is from 18th September to 2nd October 2024. All WaterRA Member Organisations are entitled to vote, however only Member Representatives can vote on behalf of their organisations. We encourage all members to liaise with their respective Member Representatives regarding voting preferences.
Ratification of Board membership will take place at the WaterRA Annual General Meeting on 23rd October 2024.
